How would I go about downloading all the files in a directory using HTTP and FTP?(Im asking for both method)I only know how to download a single file using FTP and HTTPBut I'm working on something and it needs to download lots of files in one directory.and if anyone could, can you also show me how to get the progress to go along with the downloading status?like -Total Files: #Speed: # in MBCurrent File: NameCurrent%:%Total Percent:%I have no idea how to do the last parts.I'd appreciate it so much if someone could help me:. You just have to know the list of files to download. For FTP you can use LS command once you've connected to a FTP server to list all files and then download them one by one.For HTTP you can get the file list only if it's been explicitly allowed by the web server (usually you get the 'Directory listing denied' error message). So, you get the list of files to download using LS command when you connect to an FTP server or parsing the webserver output when you connect to a web server. Then you download each file one by one. About the status:1. You will know how many files there are once you get the file list, won't you?2.

    Ftp Directory Listing

Speed = Bytes Downloaded / Time elapsed (isn't it obvious)?3. If you have the file list and you are downloading files one by one you will know the name of the file currently being downloaded.4. You know the length of the file being downloaded since the server usually tells you its size (there are cases though when due to some configuration error on the server side you wouldn't know the file length, especially in HTTP case - but such cases are rare).5. Same as above - but you need to sum the lengths of all files.
